Hundreds of pro-Palestinian protestors took to Sydney’s streets on Thursday night to rally against the first visit to Australia by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Opposing Australia’s support for Israel, the protestors gathered at Sydney Town Hall and marched through Pitt Street, waving placards and flags.
Organised by Sydney’s Palestine Action Group, the estimated 600 protesters had planned to march to Mr Netanyahu’s Circular Quay hotel but were diverted by police and forced at King Street to loop back to Town Hall. – Reporting by Joshua Gaske, video and production by Bakri Mahmoud
